A true sense of blessing from work and people has made me more open since joining Senkosha

Production Department Painting Work

I wanted to join Senkosha because I was interested in monozukuri (manufacturing) due to the influence of my father, who runs an ironworks business. However, upon joining the company, I learned about “space creation” as a member of the Administration Department. The big difference from monozukuri is that space creation is undertaken through broad collaboration with other organizations, such as clients and partner companies. Observing the impressive work of my superiors, who are also my trainers, I felt that the skills required for supervising the site of a space creation project are human skills. To acquire human skills like those of my superiors, I am trying to gain experience while improving my information management skills and increasing my knowledge.

The appeal of work we can be proud of

On-site supervision involves the responsibility to ensure that a project is implemented safely and smoothly within a limited budget and is completed on time. This task is challenging for me, as I am still a trainee under the supervision of my superiors. However, there is the sense of achievement I feel at the completion of work―I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Whenever I see a quality space that we have created, I always feel satisfied. I think the best part of this job is that you can genuinely be thrilled by your own work.

It's worth doing because it's not easy

Work does not often progress as scheduled. My favorite process is cleaning a project site before delivering the work to the client. During this process I inspect each and every corner of the site while recalling how we managed to accomplish our tasks. When I complete delivery of the work, I finally feel relieved. As our company is tirelessly pursuing high quality, I always brace myself to align my performance with this aspiration.

When your world expands, personal connections do too

In my free time, I go out for dinner or go to hot spring resorts with my friends since I don’t have any particular personal activities I engage in. Depending on the season, I go camping or enjoy snowboarding. Right now, I am interested in playing golf and I would like to try it.
